Exterior The Newington Hotel sits proud aside the 'Royal Approach', the historical entrance route to medieval York. We are located close to the city centre and all the attractions that York has to offer.

A relaxed ambience pervades throughout the cosy bar and lounges and the intimate cellar restaurant serves a fixed price dinner menu that changes daily, offering a style of cookery that uses traditional English fare presented with a hint of modernity. Be sure to arrange an early dinner so that you can make the short stroll into York to enjoy the varied evening entertainment. There are a variety of bedroom styles all with private facilities ranging from single, twin and double bedded to family rooms sleeping three or four guests: with a lift to all the main floors. CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations must be cancelled 3 days in advance of your arrival date.
In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged.
The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

CHILD POLICY: Children older than 12 years are considered adult for room occupancy.
Children no older than 3 year(s) can stay for free.

COMMENTS: All room reservations to be guaranteed by a valid credit card with expiry and three digit security code. A non refundable deposit of 50gbp per room is taken to secure the booking. Full prepayment is required for all special promotional package bookings. In the event of a cancellation more than three days prior to arrival, the deposit will be held for three calendar months as credit against an alternative visit within that three month period. All reservations will be held until 1800 hours on the day of arrival then released unless otherwise notified. Holiday Cancellation Plan is recommended. Details are available.
